Putin menacingly wishes Biden 'good health' after President's 'killer with no soul' remarks

PRESIDENT Joe Biden has "no regrets" about calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a killer, even after it led to prompt backlash from the Kremlin late Thursday.

"The president gave a direct answer to a direct question," answered White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

"President Biden's known President Putin for a long time."

"They've both been on the global stage for a long time, worked through many iterations of a relationship between the United States and Russia, and he believes we can continue to do that," she ended.

Psaki's response is the latest in a back and forth spat between the leaders of the two nations that started on Tuesday after Biden agreed when asked by ABC News' George Stephanopoulos if he considered Putin to be a "killer."

Putin then quipped that he wishes Joe Biden "good health" in a veiled threat after the US president labeled him a "killer."
